A note on comments
For now, I'm not going to moderate comments. That could change. I'll probably post on some pretty hot button issues here so feathers will be ruffled. I will try to keep my tone civil though (yes it is possible on the internet) and will ask any commentators to do the same. Should the comments become laced with profanity and personal attacks, posts will be edited/blocked. And I will ban you if need be. Hopefully, none of that will happen and we can have lots of great discussion and arguments here.
Reach for the Sky!
I guess the first thing to explain is why I chose this title. It was inspired by a review I recently read of Toy Story 3. The review began with the now iconic phrase from Woody's pull-string and went on to state that this was in large part the philosophy behind Pixar's success, they continually reach for sky, making every film as good as they possibly can.
Now, this is not going to be a blog about Pixar, although I am a huge fan so I will geek out about them frequently. However, this basic philosophy is a great way to live life as well, to always be reaching for the best in all we say, think, and do, to never settle for mediocrity. With that in mind, I'll be blogging about everything that interests me, from religion (specifically the Catholic Church) and politics to the latest antics of my kids, to the fun stuff I learn in my Krav Maga class.
That's the basic intro. For those who stumble onto this while I figure out how to make everything work, bear with me, I'll get everything figured out soon.
